We have a wide variety of low-maintenance native plants, fruit trees, and hedging plants. We have With over 10 years of experience, we provide quality plants at an affordable price.
How do I buy from your website?
To purchase from our website, simply click on the product you are interested in and add it to the cart. You will then be redirected to the cart to complete your order and checkout process. If you would like us to deliver your plant or it’s not for immediate delivery, please contact our team first.
Can you deliver my plant to me?
Yes! We can deliver anywhere in Australia. Delivery charges may apply and can be found at the checkout page of the website.
How can you get plants from Affordable Plants?
You can buy online from our website, or You can pick up your plants from our Ringwood East site, or we can arrange delivery/freight. (Delivery charges apply).

Can I visit your nursery to pick my own plants?
Yes, appointment time must be made beforehand.
Why isn't the plant I purchased flowering, even though the photo on your website shows flowers?
Plants that flower bloom at different times of the year; however, there are no guarantees that the flowers will be showing, even if it’s normally the time of year they are in flower. Plants are living things, so the appearance of the plant on our website may differ slightly from the one purchased.

All pictures of plants on our website should be used as a guide only. Plants may vary in size.

Please note:

plants are living things, variable in nature. We do not produce them in a factory. Sizes and photos are a guide only. We always send out the very best plants we have in stock. We do not refund just because the plants are a different size to the photos online, or tubestock you have ordered previously, or your expectations.

Why can't I view your stock list?
We don’t currently offer a stock list.
Do you deliver interstate?
Unfortunately, at this stage, we are only able to provide delivery within Victoria. We are hoping to deliver interstate soon.
How do I pay?
We accept cash, direct funds transfer, EFTPOS, Visa, and MasterCard.
Please note a surcharge may apply to credit card payments.
We do not accept Amex.
What are your delivery fees?
Delivery fees are automatically calculated before you proceed to payment.
Not all plants I want are available. Can you hold my order until they are?
Unfortunately, we are unable to hold any plants/orders.We can not put the plants aside as we must sell our plants when they are at an optimum age and height to be sent/delivered to you and planted by you.
Do you offer gift cards?
At this stage, we don’t offer gift cards, but we hope to in the future.
What happens if my plants are damaged in transit?
99% of plants arrive in great condition to our customers. In some cases, the plants may be damaged. We do not take responsibility for any damages caused in transit. If damage does occur, please get in touch with us at: info@affordableplants.com.au
Please provide photos of the plants and packing. Then, we can help you resolve the issue.
I have placed my order. When will you send my order?
We strive to do our best to get your order out in 2 business days.
Do you sent overseas?
No, we cannot go due to quarantine.
Who is responsible for incorrect Address information with Online orders?
Please ensure the name and address entered on orders are correct. The shipping label will appear exactly as you enter it. If it contains incorrect and/or insufficient details, Affordable Plants will not be held liable for replacement or additional shipping costs.
What is your minimum order quantity?
We do not have a minimum order quantity.
We have minimum postage charges of $9.99.
What is a 'bare root' tree?
In winter, many trees are shipped without soil or pots. This helps to keep the packing and transport costs to a minimum. The trees are in a dormant state due to the colder weather and can survive without soil and water for a short period.
Do you provide delivery on large trees?
Unfortunately, at this stage, we are unable to Provide delivery for large trees. Please contact us from an in-house delivery quote.

PREORDERS

What is the approximate delivery time if I place a preorder?
About 1-4 months
Do I get priority over people who have just put their email down?
Yes, you do. People that have preordered are guaranteed their preordered items.
How do I pay for Pre Purchase Orders?
We accept cash, direct funds transfer, EFTPOS, Visa, and MasterCard. At this stage, we cannot offer after payingfor preorders.
Do you take the full payment?
Yes, the full amount is taken from your payment method.
What if I change my mind?
Unfortunately, once you have placed your order for a preorder, we cannot refund you due to a change of mind.
What Happens when the plants are ready?
You will be notified that your order is ready, and you will have 14 days to collect or organize freight for your order.
How do pot sizes work?
Pot-sizes can help estimate the age of your plant. Here is a general guide:

  • 14 cm pots – 6 months to 1 year of growth
  • 20 cm pot – 9 months to 1.5 years of growth
  • 25 cm pot – 1.2 to 2 years of growth
  • 30 cm pot – 2 to 2.5 years of growth
  • 40 cm pot – 2.5 to 3 years of growth
